Fruit Tray for 50 (with Fruit Dip)

Picture
Select any combination of fruit you like.
  • 1 Cantaloupe - peeled, sliced & cut up in bite size pieces
  • 1 Honeydew Melon - peeled, sliced & cut up in bite size pieces
  • 1 Pineapple - peeled, cored, sliced & cut up in bite size pieces
  • 2 quarts Strawberries - washed & dried
  • 2 large bunches seedless Grapes (green or purple) - washed & dried

Arrange fruit on trays. Serve with Fruit Dip if you want.

Fruit Dip
  • 1 8-oz pkg cream cheese (regular, do not use fat free or lite)
  • 1 7-oz jar marshmallow cream
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/8 tsp lemon juice

Beat all 4 ingredients together until smooth and creamy.  Refrigerate until ready to use.  Can be made the day before, just re-stir before serving.  Makes about 2 cups.

Notes:
  • Many grocery stores sell prepared fruit trays including the fruit dip.  Shop around for prices.  Prepared trays may not cost that much more especially when you consider your time and effort.
  • It's better to prepare several smaller fruit trays rather than 1 large one. Then you can replace empty trays with full, fresh ones.
  • Some fruit, when cut, turns brown. Stay away from apples, pears & peaches unless you are preparing and serving them right away. Hint:  When cutting apples, use a knife dipped in lemon juice.  This will delay browning.
