Unique & One-of-a-kind Decorations
Decorations
don't have to be expensive or even store bought. Think about
who your grad is and what they like to do.
What are their
hobbies and passions? Are they into sports? Or music?
Or Scouts? Do they like to travel? What college will
they attend?
If your grad plays sports or is part of a group or organization,
hang their old jerseys and uniforms on a clothesline. (The
little jerseys, if you still have them, are really cute!)
If your grad is a dancer or figure skater, hang
their costumes around the party area. Include team or
individual pictures taken over the years.

Display your grad's prom dress with a photo from
the dance next to it. Everyone loves to get another use out of
a prom dress! Or hang your graduate's graduation gown, mortar board and tassel.
We once went to a
party that was for three girls who were going off to different colleges. A picture of each girl’s face was attached to the sweatshirts from
the different schools - Iowa State, St. Benedicts and Wisconsin.
Hang college pennants,
jerseys and sweat shirts from the college your graduate will attend. Lids.com
offers a wide range of college hats, jerseys, jackets and tees.
Give your grad a gift of one of these college items and then use it
as a decoration at the party.
Decorate with crepe paper
in your graduate’s school colors or the colors of the college they will
be attending or choose your own color theme.
Display senior photos of
the grandparents and parents (this is a great way to get them involved).
And, of course, your can always display photos of
the graduate. For ideas on how
to display pictures of your grad, check out our
Tribute to Your Grad webpage ...
Deck the Yard!
Don't just decorate the inside! You can decorate outside too,
especially if your guests will be spending some time on your deck or in
your backyard.
Use balloons or banners or even graduation wind spinners. Not
sure what wind spinners are? Just go to our
Outdoor Decorations webpage to find out.
Post some "The Party's Here"
signs in your yard or on your street corner. Use signs that are
personalized with your graduate’s name on them or non-personalized signs
that can be used again.

Money saving Tip:
Ask a friend or neighbor to share in the cost of
decorations. Non-personalized decorations can be used
by different grads on different days. Or save
them for the other future grads in your family. |
